Pricing, straight

How much does an MC number really cost?

FMCSA charges $300 per operating authority — that's the entire government fee for an MC number. A USDOT number is $0. Anyone quoting you more without itemizing is charging service fees they don't want you to see. Our service fee for the full New Authority Package is $599, printed right here.

How much does a DOT number cost?

Nothing. FMCSA charges $0 for a USDOT number. If you only need a DOT number, you can register yourself free in FMCSA's Motus system. Companies charge for the service of doing it correctly for you — we charge $99 standalone, and we'll tell you first if you can skip it.

Why do you show government fees separately?

Because bundling them is how this industry hides markup. The government fee is the same no matter who files. The only honest comparison between services is the service fee — so we make ours public.

Are there any other fees at checkout?

No. The price on this page is the price at checkout: government fee plus our service fee. Government fees are non-refundable once paid to the agency; our service fee is 100% refunded if your filing isn't accepted.

Do you charge for an EIN?

Never. The IRS issues EINs free in about 10 minutes at irs.gov. Filing mills charge $75+ for this free form. We link you to the real thing.

We will never call you unless you ask us to. No phone sales. No robocalls. Ever.

Filing accepted or your service fee back, 100%. Government fees are non-refundable once paid — we tell you that before you pay, not after.
